Known as the ‘’Killer Mountain’’ Nanga Parbat (8126 m) is the 9th highest peak in the world, and perhaps the most challenging. Anchoring the western end of the Himalaya Range, Nanga Parbat was first climbed in 1953 by Herman Buhl. The flowing trek will take you to this magnificent mountain.

Fairy Meadows, so named because of local superstition that fairies inhabit this spectacularly forested alpine meadow, is a wonderful setting from where to explore Nanga Parbat. One will drive from Gilgit to Tato and from there walk a few hours to Fairy Meadows.

Shepherd huts are scattered around the area, and clear water is plentiful, coupled with the pine forest and the looming north face of Nanga Parbat, one can readily believe that fairies really do live in this alpine meadows. The next day excursion will lead you to the base camp of this trek, where is the German memorial to those killed in the 1937 expedition, and to the foot of Jiliper Peak.

Day-01: Islamabad:

Day-02: Islamabad – Skardu Valley:

Drive to the airport to take an early morning flight from Islamabad to Skardu. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Karakoram & Himalaya Ranges from the plane. Upon arrival in Skardu, Enjoy your first encounter with Skardu by visiting the scenic Upper and Lower Kachura Lakes. These lakes are famous for their stunning blue-green waters, ideal for boating and fishing. The natural beauty will immerse you into the calm, serene ambiance of Skardu. Walk up to Kharpocho Fort for a bird's-eye view of Skardu town, the Indus River, and the surrounding mountains. Walk and talk with locals in Skardu Bazaar, followed by a visit to the Sadpara Dam and Menthol Rock Buddha. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Skardu.

If the flight is canceled due to weather or other reasons, drive to Chilas along the Karakoram       Highway or Naran via Babusar Pass. En route to Chilas, stop for lunch at Besham, or Naran a small town along the way. Upon arrival in Chilas, check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day-03: Skardu _ Manthoka Water Fall _ Sarfaranga Cold Desert:

After having breakfast, the journey will begin with a scenic drive to Kharmang valley to witness the famous Manthoka water fall and then drive back to the Shigar valley.  Enjoy the thrill and excitement at the Sarfaranga cold desert, known as one of the highest cold deserts in the world. Its sand dunes, contrasting against snow-capped peaks, offer a surreal landscape.  Visit the historic Shigar Fort, a 400-year-old palace that now serves as a luxury hotel. Spend time enjoying the Tibetan-style architecture and cultural heritage. After having lunch at Shigar Fort, Explore the Khanqa Mosque and visit the Amburiq Mosque, a 700-year-old UNESCO-awarded monument, showcasing early Islamic architecture in the region. Day-05: Karimabad – Baltit – Altit Forts – Duiker:

Day-07: Excursion – Khunjerab Pass: (Pak – China Border)

Day-09: Passu – Gilgit (the capital of Gilgit _ Baltistan)

Embark on a drive back to Gilgit. Upon arrival, Check in to your chosen hotel for a short rest, and in the afternoon drive to Karga Nala, and City tour. Enjoy a closer view of the three meters high imposing Buddha sculpture carved in the 7th century AD deep into the solid rock to get rid of the ogress called yakhshini.

Free-roaming time in Gilgit Bazar to have an experience of the local market, and pay visit to the old wooden bridge. Return to your hotel for a restful evening and overnight stay in Gilgit.

Day-10: Gilgit – Fairy Meadows:

Drive to Raikot Bridge and onward off road drive to Tato village. Stopover at the junction point of the three great mountain ranges, (Karakoram (500 km, Himalaya (2400 km & Hindu Kush (966 km), Indus River (considered the 3rd longest river in Asia and the 21st longest in the world with the length of 3200 km long), and Nanga Parbat (8126 m), known as the killer mountain. Walk on a pony trail along pine trees up to Fairy Meadows (3300 m). Upon arrival, Check in to a tourist class hut, Meals and overnight stay at in Fairy Meadows.

Day-11: Day Excursion to Nanga Parbat base camp:

Begin your day with an exciting trek from Fairy Meadows to either Beyal Camp (3500 m) or, for the more adventurous, to the Nanga Parbat Base Camp (3954 m). The trek takes you through stunning alpine meadows, Pine forests, and along dramatic mountain ridges with unparalleled views of Nanga Parbat’s towering north face

After the morning’s trek, enjoy a well-deserved lunch at Beyal Camp, surrounded by pristine nature. The serene atmosphere, with the towering presence of Nanga Parbat nearby, offers a peaceful retreat.

In the afternoon, visit Reflection Lake, a serene body of water known for its mirror-like reflections of Nanga Parbat. Relax by the lakeside and take in the breathtaking views of the mountain’s majestic face reflected on the surface. Later, explore Fairy Point, a scenic spot where the beauty of Fairy Meadows is on full display, with its sweeping vistas and unspoiled nature. Day-12: Fairy Meadows – Besham:

Begin the day with your trek back from Fairy Meadows to Tato Village. Relish the last moments of this beautiful landscape as you descend. Once at Tato Village, hope on a 4x4 jeep for the thrilling drive back to Raikot Bridge, followed by a road journey to Besham. En route to Besham, Stop for lunch at Dasu, a small town along the Karakoram Highway. Upon arrival in Besham, check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day-13: Besham – Swat Valley:
